Adding to the interest is its remote area, approximately 1370km from the Indian territory, which means the islands are geologically more Southeast Asia – only 150km from Indonesia and 190km from Myanmar.
Containing 572 islands, just twelve or so are available to travelers, Havelock by a wide margin being the most well known for its breathtaking shorelines and plunging. The Nicobar Islands are entirely untouchable to voyagers, similar to the different patches of inborn zones.

Later start the breathtaking trip to Corbyn’s Cove Beach, one of the most picturesque, coconut palm fringed beach, 7 km away from Port Blair town, and to the Cellular Jail, a place of pilgrimage for all freedom loving people. One can also view the history of the heroic freedom struggle which is brought alive in a moving Light & Sound Show at the Cellular Jail. Return to hotel. Overnight in Port Blair.
Post breakfast embark on a sightseeing tour of North Bay Island followed by Ross Island, the erstwhile capital of Port Blair during the British regime. The island presently houses the ruins of old buildings like Chief Commissioner’s House, Government House, Church, Bakery, Press, Swimming Pool, Cemetery, etc. and all in the dilapidated condition. Overnight in Port Blair.
Post breakfast embark on a sightseeing tour in and around the city like Fisheries Museum (Aquarium) – exhibits species of marine life peculiar to the islands, Science Center, Gandhi Park, Anthropological Museum – displays tribal essential and artifacts, Naval Marine Museum (Samudrika) – gives a good insight of the history, shells, Corals marine life, geography and archaeology of these islands and Chatham Saw Mill, one of the oldest and largest sawmills in the world. Evening is free for shopping. Overnight in Port Blair.

It’s market day in Lausanne! Enjoy browsing and packing a picnic lunch for our 11 a.m. boat cruise on Lake Geneva. A few miles down-shore we’ll dock at Château de Chillon, where we’ll have a guided tour of this delightfully medieval castle on the water. On our way back we’ll take time to peek into the vineyards surrounding Lutry before returning to Lausanne. Boat: 2 hrs. Bus: 1 hr. Walking: moderate.
